Summary

As a National Account Manager, your primary focus will be driving organic growth within LiVe’s current account base by providing unique solutions to our customers’ transportation challenges. You will act as the bridge between all Floor Departments and their functions as they pertain to your portfolio. Key aspects of your role will include: understanding the customer’s key logistics challenges and acting as a consultative partner to provide mutually-beneficial transportation solutions to drive efficiencies and increase account profitability.

Expectations of Role:

  • Maintain your portfolio of Top Tier Customer Accounts by creating account-specific growth strategies with the goal of increasing overall profitability, contracted lanes, etc.
  • Analyze operational processes for each account; develop & execute process improvement plans that drive efficiencies and streamline communication.
  • Develop relationships (deep & wide) within the customers’ organizational structure, focusing on building strategic relationships with key decision makers.
  • Lead monthly Internal Business Reviews (IBRs) with Floor Department heads to review account financials, growth strategy, KPI performance, and identify any necessary process improvements in alignment with SVP Brokerage Operations expectations. Evaluate AIs from prior meetings & determine action items for the next 30 days.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews within your personal portfolio based on expectations of your customer base and/or as determined by SVP Brokerage Operations.
  • Provide lane rates and spot quotes to drive account penetration and win business.
  • Work with SREPs to manage the financial health and aging of all outstanding invoices for accounts within your personal portfolio.
  • Implement market-accurate pricing strategies for customer RFP’s, spot bids, projects, etc.
  • Remain educated on market trends and disruptions within the zones/regions that may affect your portfolio.
  • Assist SREPs in budget forecasting for your portfolio.
  • Educate customers on fluctuating market conditions, regional seasonality and capacity flows.
  • Actively manage the daily load board for your portfolio; work with Operations and Carrier Sales to ensure service levels are met.
  • Assist the SVP of Brokerage Operations, Manager of Operations and/or your account Operations Teams as needed.

Requirements:

  • Confidence working independently, and within the core values of LiVe Logistics.
  • Fluid knowledge of the current market and how to effectively position LiVe’s services to drive account growth.
  • Ability to work at a faster than average pace, with ability to multi-task and delegate effectively.
  • Capable of building rapport quickly, and maintaining composure in stressful situations.
  • Make decisions efficiently, and with confidence in the best interest of the customer and LiVe.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales or Logistics Customer Operations desired.
